Kafue N.P. (Zambia2014)

In August 2014 we went to Kafue and to Busanga plains. It took 7 hours to go from the entrance to Busanga. We passed by many illegal fires and fires could be seen everywhere every day. The game is very scattered in the forest and even in the plains where we saw very few zebras and gazelles. Near the swamps and not far from the lodge we saw herds of pukus and lechwees in the swamps. When we came across elephants they were scared.
In Busanga plains twice we saw an antelope being killed by a lion.
The landscape is gorgeous with some islands of palm trees in the plain.
